Purpose
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders in an education and care setting.
Course Outline
This course comprises 1 core subject.
- HLTAID012 Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education & Care setting
Participants will be provided with our course learning materials.
Students are required to study these learning materials online and complete the assessment activities (quizzes) prior to attend the training day (1 day).
Learning materials and quizzes are to be completed at students' own pace and practical day will have to be booked with the Trainer prior to attending.
Students that do not complete these activities will not be able to attend the practical session. On the training day, the Trainer will provide additional instruction and then students will demonstrate appropriate first aid activities for the practical assessments.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course Consultants will gain a statement of results in HLTAID012 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education & Care setting.

Duration
Course runs for 1 day (practical assessment) and you are required to complete all the quizzes at your own time. You are required to achieve 100% grading in the quizzes with unlimited attempts.
Upon achieving 100% in all the quizzes, you will then book the practical assessment using bandages, epipen, defibrillator, CPR Manequins.
